本地私立大专、外国大学马来西亚分校，以及许多英国、澳洲、纽西兰、爱尔兰等国家的大学开办各种科系的大学基础班（University Foundation Program），如商业基础班、工程基础班、美术基础班、电脑基础班等，供学历资格不符合直升大学的学生申请就读，这类学生包括SPM、IGCSE，以及成绩未达标的高中统考和STPM毕业生。学生在通过大学基础课程后，即可衔接就读大学相关科系的学士课程；此外，学生也可申请其它大学相关科系的学士课程，唯视有关大学是否承认和接受有关大学基础课程的学历资格。
课程内容
- 课程因大学而异；一般针对各别学科，修读相关的基础或入门课程，例如：商业基础班需修商业学、基本会计、数学、微观经济学、宏观经济学、商业法律等；工程基础班需修化学、物理、数学、动力学等；美术基础班需修视觉分析学、基础绘画及色彩学、设计基础学等；电脑基础班需修电脑概论、程序编写原理、网络概论、数学等
评估制度
- 依据学生每学期的考试、测验和作业的平均表现为评定标准。
修习年限
- 通常为期一年（两个学期），视大专的课程编排而定。
申请资格
- SPM、IGCSE至少五科C，或高中统考至少三或四科B。
NOTE：不同的大学或基础课程或有不同的入学标准，学生可向大学查询，或使用升学情报线上教育展 (edufair.fsi.com.my)。
如何申请
- 视各大学的申请流程而定，基本上学生可直接向开办大学基础班的大学提出线上申请，欲知详情可大学查询，或使用升学情报线上教育展 (edufair.fsi.com.my)。
費用
- 学费因大专而异，请参考下表：

资格承认
- 学生在完成课程后，一般上仅能衔接就读大学相关科系的学士课程，或衔接到承认有关大学基础课程的大学修读相关科系的学士课程。

if i study foundation at UTAR, can i still countinue my degree at UCSI(example)???
you have to look at the requirement of degree course u wish to study at ucsi whether it accepts other uni foundation or not..why not study foundation at ucsi straight away?
If I fail my stpm , can I study foundation or A-level or diploma at UTAR . Which is the best choice and save time . First of all, you have to think about which course you want to pursue, then only u can decide which pathway is best suited for you.

为什么大学基础只有商业基础班、工程基础班、美术基础班、电脑基础班？那如果我是想读心理学的…….那我该读那个基础呢?

以上所列的只是一些例子。大专通常将科系分为文商及理科源流，然后开设文商及理科基础班，选读文商科系的将会进入文商源流的大学基础班。而由于心理学在我国属于问文科，所以一般上学生都会进入文科的基础班。每一所私立大学会根据本身的学士课程开设与该校科系相关的大学基础班，所以你还是需要向各别的大专询问确切需报读的基础班。

理科或文科的大学先修班都没有问题，不妨向大专了解它们承认的大学先修文凭有哪些，再根据本身的条件来选择。
通常国外的大学都不承认其他学校的Foundation。但是你还是可以尝试向你要申请的大学确认。
jan intake是用trial成绩。。。

不一定，你要去搜索有提供foundation的大专。考获符合该校规定升上degree的foundation成绩就可以在同一所大专念degree。

I think most of the partnership is for the degree transfer program, not during foundation, please consult the universities for more information on how is the transfer program work.

no, local public universities don’t accept foundation from private universities.
那你就会需要报读art的foundation，每一间大专都会各自编排它们的foundation课程。

Having SPM and credits in BM is basic requirement to IPTA. UPM only offer asasi for sains pertanian, others are diploma program, please log on to upu.mohe.gov.my for the entry requirement.

读foundation 能不能到外国读书？假设我在utar毕业了，能到外国读doctor之类的吗？
因foundation课程的目的是让学生直接到同一所大学升学，所以很少其他大专会接受来自不同大专的foundation文凭。而且你需要个别向大专确认，若还不确定学士课程的大学，较适合的大学先修课程还是A-level、STPM等其他受各国承认的文凭。
