(6 September 2015, Sunday) Burmese professional marionette Daw Ma Ma Naing gave a short training in NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts) in Singapore. Some students from NAFA came and studied on the art and traditions of Burmese marionettes. Daw Ma Ma Naing said “Previously I went to Singapore for leisure. As training, I taught for one month under the invitation of one of the art organizations, and I went to NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts) for training under their special invitation. We taught hard within three days – some easy playing puppets such as a horse, a monkey, an ogre and a loyal page boy. I was very pleased with their learning and interest and they will come to Myanmar in September 5. They will see the puppet show and the processes of how to make the puppets.”
