(15 October 2015, Thursday) Tan Chin Chin was once hailed as a rising star in Singapore painting.
In 1995, the long-haired 29-year-old Tan Chin Chin won the UOB Painting Of the Year – Singapore in the 14th UOB Painting of the Year Awards, with her mixed media work, The Statue Of Gods. She had also won several awards before this.
In the early 1990s, it seemed that she topped any competition she participated in.
The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Diploma in Applied Arts graduate later pursued her further studies overseas, and met her husband in the United States.
