Students from Taylor’s College Sri Hartamas organise ‘Jog For Hope’
As the saying goes, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. Taking heed of this powerful mantra, the Pre-University students of Taylor’s College Sri Hartamas (TCSH) are taking the first step in contributing towards a good cause, by organising this year’s “Jog for Hope”.
A community jogathon aimed at raising funds for charity, the Jog for Hope was initially launched in June 2009, where participants jogged up to 9 kilometres and raised a sum of RM10,000 for charity. Last year, the event raised a whopping RM21,000 for two worthy causes.
This year’s Jog for Hope aims to raise up to RM20,000 for charity, contributing towards the Malaysian Nature Society and PT Foundation.
Taylor’s Jog for Hope will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Taylor’s College Sri Hartamas (TCSH) campus. Those who are interested to sweat for a good cause can sign up at 03-6203 0168 (Ms Dachaini Karuppiah, TCSH), 017-320 5849 or email [email protected].
Registration will also be open at 6.00 am on the day of the event, with flag-off at 8.00 am. Registration is open for three categories: School, College/University and Open (for participants not in the other two categories, no age limit). Registration fee for each category is RM15, RM20 and RM30 respectively.
