We are pleased to announce that the Centre for Agricultural and Food Research (CAFR) and Faculty of Science of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) are jointly organising EduFun AgriMicrob Science Holiday Workshop. This two-day course aims to provide hands-on experience in agronomy, aquaculture, animal science and microbiology in the biology laboratories and in the field. Through the two-day course, participants will explore the biological processes and applications of microbes in the laboratory, know how to identify important aquaculture species in Malaysia, as well as understand how aquaculture can help to prevent over-harvesting of natural seafood stocks. The participants will also get exposure in examining the farm goat’s pregnancy using an ultrasound machine. All the materials are generously sponsored by Zugar Sdn Bhd, Nature’s Best Sdn Bhd and Humibox (M) Sdn Bhd.
The details of the workshop are as follows:
Date: 28th and 29th December 2021
Time: 9.00 am – 4:30 pm (MYT)
Venue: Faculty of Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Kampar Campus, Perak.
Targeted participants: Form 4, Form 5 and Form 6 students, and school leavers
Admission is FREE and it is open for fully VACCINATED students only. First come first served with limited to 40
seats. All the surplus generated from this workshop will be donated to UTAR Hospital Project.
