Miri – 27 March 2012 – An Accounting Exhibition was recently held at the foyer of the Harry Perkins Lecture Theatre at Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) as part of a week-long Accounting Week 2012 organised by the Accounting Club Curtin Sarawak (ACCS) and CPA Student Charter Curtin Sarawak (CPAASC).
The exhibition gave students of the university a better insight into the backgrounds and workings of accounting professional bodies participating in the Accounting Week 2012, which included the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), CPA Australia, Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
“Accounting Week 2012 also included a forum, career talk, and a Connection Night event for ACCS and CPAASC members, all of which were hugely successful,” related Ling Yi Qing, director of Accounting Week 2012.
He added that Accounting Week 2012 themed ‘One Decade of Excellence’ was organised to mark the tenth anniversary of both the ACCS and CPAASC and was supported by the School of Business at Curtin Sarawak.
