Recently, it announced its annual Rookies Global School Rankings, a trusted and industry-respected system that has been ranking creative media and entertainment schools since 2015, with a simple goal to provide a reliable showcase of the very best creative schools available to students today.

“Night Blooms” is a multisensory interactive installation by The One Academy student Ng Jo Ling which won the Game of the Year (Immersive Media) and Highly Commended awards.

The Rookies employ a rigorous and impartial process to assess and rank creative and technical schools worldwide, primarily relying on the individual performance of students representing each institution. Students undergo meticulous reviews, and their work is assigned a performance score. The school’s overall standing is then determined by calculating the median student score, with excellence rewarded through bonus points granted to students who are designated as finalists, highly commended, runner-ups, or winners in each category.
Assessed by hundreds of industry professionals and leading industry veterans based on creative skills, technical proficiency, presentation quality, diversity of skills, project complexity, raw talent and employment potential, the Rookie Awards and its rankings are trusted globally by students, educators, governments, and industry experts, offering a glimpse into the ever-evolving landscape of higher education in creative media.
