(18 June 2016, Saturday) As a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Fine Art student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Mr Nhawfal Juma’at strived to make a difference in every one of his artworks. The 25-year old created the audio work titled An Assessment On The Act of Drinking Coffee By Mr Lin, accompanied by a verse of poetry written in Chinese, which is then translated. Visitors to the Contemporary 2016 exhibition, organized by Angkatan Pelukis Aneka Daya (Apad), will be able to listen to this audio work at the exhibition. Nhawfal said that he was humbled and excited to be involved in organizing the Contemporary 2016 exhibition, describing APAD as a progressive group which is full of potential.
Nhawfal, who is now working as a technical officer in NAFA, is also involved in NAFA’s Best of Best Show 2016, which is currently ongoing at the Lim Hak Tai Gallery, NAFA Campus 1, until 17 July.
